This Sunday marks the start of the 2025 Hungarian sectorball season, following the launch of the 12-touch season two weeks ago. The competition will take place in Budapest at the Testvériség SE venue, located in the Csokonai Cultural Center.

The tournament will be played in a Swiss system, with players competing across nine rounds to determine the champion. This event holds special significance as it is dedicated to the memory of Balázs Szili, the former president of the Hungarian Table Football Federation (MALSZ).

Balázs Szili, who tragically passed away in 2021 due to Covid, was an outstanding player, a dedicated club leader, and a respected president. More importantly, he was a loving husband and a caring father. His memory lives on in every tournament, as the sectorball community continues to honor his legacy.

Fans can expect an exciting and competitive event, where players will not only fight for victory but also pay tribute to one of the sport’s most influential figures.
