Sectorball World Championship 2026: Meet the Players
The Sectorball Individual World Championship is ready to kick off in Budapest!
On Saturday, 10 October, the spotlight will turn to Sectorball at the X. ITFC World Championship 2026, as 35 players compete for the individual World Championship title.
Players representing 8 countries and regions will take part in this prestigious competition, bringing together some of the most experienced names in international Sectorball.

Competition Format: Six Groups and a Fight for the Last 16
The Sectorball Individual Championship will begin with six groups of six players. With 35 registered competitors, one group will have five players.
The group stage will determine the first qualifiers for the knockout rounds:
- Direct qualification: The six group winners and the two best runners-up will advance directly to the Round of 16.
- Play-offs: The remaining runners-up, together with the players finishing third and fourth in their groups, will compete in the Round of 24.
- The road to the title: The successful players from the play-offs will complete the Round of 16 field, after which the knockout competition will continue towards the final.
This format gives players an opportunity to secure direct qualification while keeping the battle for the remaining places open until the group stage is complete.
International Competition in Budapest
The Sectorball field includes players from Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Brazil, Team Catalonia, Chile, Poland, Georgia and Italy. The mix of established Sectorball competitors and international challengers promises an exciting day of table football.
As the traditional Hungarian discipline of button football, Sectorball has a distinctive place in the ITFC’s international sporting programme.
Budapest Awaits!
The X. ITFC World Championship 2026 will take place from 8–11 October 2026 at the Ludovika Sport Hall in Budapest, Hungary.
The Championship features three disciplines:
- 12 Touch
- Chapas
- Sectorball
Four days of international competition will bring together players, clubs and national delegations for a celebration of table football, sporting achievement and friendship.
Who will make it through the groups and lift the Sectorball Individual World Championship trophy?
The answer will be decided on Saturday in Budapest!
