The second day of the X. ITFC World Table Football Championship in Budapest delivered another full day of international competition, dramatic encounters and great moments of community spirit.

Brazil Crowned 12 Touch Team World Champions Again

Brazil once again demonstrated their strength in 12 Touch, successfully defending their team world title without losing a match. In the final, the Brazilian team defeated Italy 4–0, securing another world championship triumph.

Italy claimed the silver medal, while the host nation, Hungary, delighted the home crowd by defeating the United States 2–0 in the third-place match to take the bronze medal.

Congratulations to Brazil on another outstanding performance!

Chapas Individual Quarter-Finals Set

The Chapas Individual competition continued with the quarter-final line-up confirmed. The remaining contenders represent Portugal and Spain, setting up several exciting encounters:

  • André Gomes (Portugal) vs Henrique Pio (Portugal)
  • Juanlu Jiménez (Spain) vs José Rodríguez (Spain)
  • David Ruiz (Spain) vs Ángelito Ruiz (Spain)
  • Marcos Fernández (Spain) vs Carlos Cabeleira (Portugal)

The Chapas Team competition also progressed through its first three rounds. Spain and Portugal are among the leading contenders, with a possible meeting in the final adding extra anticipation to the next day’s action.

Sectorball Club World Championship: Vasi GE vs Energofish

The Sectorball Club World Championship final features two great teams, Vasi GE and Energofish.

The first match ended 3–0 for Vasi GE, giving the winning side a significant advantage ahead of the return leg scheduled for Sunday. The title will be decided when the two teams meet again on the final day of the championship.

Table Football Beyond the Competition

The World Championship is about more than medals and trophies. Players and visitors enjoyed an evening buffet at Eiffel Restaurant, providing an opportunity to relax, share experiences and strengthen friendships across national borders.

The event also welcomed the wider table football community. Baross Gábor presented Subbuteo throughout the afternoon, while Eric Naszályi, President of the French Subbuteo Federation, visited the championship. ITFC and FISTF are sister organisations united by their passion for table football, and the visit offered an encouraging opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the two communities.

The table football exhibition continued to grow, with Csaba showcasing newly developed 3D-printed button-football teams. The wolflandgombfoci.hu shop also remained open for visitors and enthusiasts.

Three More World Titles to Be Decided on Sunday

The championship now moves towards its final day, with another packed programme awaiting the players and spectators.

Sunday morning will see the Chapas Team and Chapas Club World Champions crowned, while the Sectorball Individual competition reaches its semi-final stage and the Sectorball Team competition gets underway.

Later in the day, the 12 Touch Club World Champion and Sectorball Club World Champion will also be decided.

With national pride, individual honours and club titles still at stake, the final day promises plenty of excitement at the Ludovika Arena in Budapest.

Two days completed, two more full of action. The X. ITFC World Table Football Championship continues!
