A New Country on the Horizon

After extensive groundwork and behind-the-scenes preparation, sectorball has finally arrived in India. The first official table football teams have been launched, marking a significant milestone in the international expansion of the sport.
The development of table football in India is being led by Balwinder Singh Johal and Yadwinder Singh, who have taken initiative to introduce and promote the game in the city of Chandigarh, located in the state of Punjab. They have already begun organizing sessions and demonstrations to engage new players and establish a foundation for future growth.
Their efforts are being supported directly by István Mártonfi, President of the International Table Football Confederation (ITFC), who is providing personal guidance and expertise to ensure the successful implementation of the sport in the region.
According to current plans, the Indian leadership is expected to visit Hungary later this year to attend a sectorball competition and gain firsthand experience of the game at a high level. Furthermore, India aims to participate in the ITFC World Championship in 2026, marking their official debut on the international stage.
We warmly welcome the Indian table football community and wish them great success in their exciting journey ahead!
